Google™ Translate is a free online language translation service that can translate text and web pages into different languages. Translations are made available to increase access to Government of Saskatchewan content for populations whose first language is not English.

Software-based translations do not approach the fluency of a native speaker or possess the skill of a professional translator. The translation should not be considered exact, and may include incorrect or offensive language. The Government of Saskatchewan does not warrant the accuracy, reliability or timeliness of any information translated by this system. Some files or items cannot be translated, including graphs, photos and other file formats such as portable document formats (PDFs).

Third Annual Saskatchewan Access To Justice Week Proclaimed

Justice Minister and Attorney General Don Morgan has proclaimed October 20-26, 2018 as Saskatchewan Access to Justice Week.

“Access to justice is one of the fundamentals of a free and democratic society,” Morgan said.  “We are pleased to support many initiatives that help empower our citizens through increased access to justice.”

The Ministry of Justice, and its partners, have been looking at ways to deliver resources for the public that are understandable, timely and affordable, such as the newly piloted Recalculation Service 
(http://www.saskatchewan.ca/government/news-and-media/2018/may/03/updating-child-support).

During Access to Justice Week, citizens can attend and participate in a number of events that will provide them with a better understanding of the justice system and what resources are available.  These include a Legal Resources Fair, a walk-in family law information clinic, a walk-in wills and estates information clinic, and speaking seminars on a variety of legal issues.

The Ministry of Justice has also been looking at ways of ensuring the public has access to reliable legal information and/or advice.  This includes promoting unbundled legal services—meaning a client asks their lawyer to perform specific tasks only, and only pays for those tasks.  Further information about unbundled legal services will be available at the Legal Resources Fair.
