The Government of Saskatchewan protects species at risk and their habitats from risks to their survival associated with human activity. The focus is directed at the needs of provincially threatened and endangered species, and is integrated with the federal Species at Risk Act.
Saskatchewan Conservation Data Centre
The centre is a partnership between the province and several non-government organizations with the mandate to manage information related to species at risk in Saskatchewan.
The centre conducts inventories and maintains a centralized database of information on the status, location and ecology of Saskatchewan species. The database supports conservation planning, recovery, research and monitoring of species at risk.
