Élu pour la première fois à l’Assemblée législative de la Saskatchewan en 2011, Paul Merriman est fier de continuer à servir sa circonscription et sa province depuis sa réélection en 2016, puis en 2020.

M. Merriman vit en Saskatchewan depuis 30 ans et habite à Saskatoon depuis 1994. Il est né et a grandi à Toronto et est venu vivre ici avec sa famille en 1988.

Avant l’élection de 2011, Paul était le directeur général de la Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre. Il a travaillé pour SaskEnergy pendant huit ans et y a établi un programme provincial de récupération de matériel de réemploi. Il a également été propriétaire et exploitant de deux petites entreprises.

M. Merriman est actuellement ministre des Services correctionnels, des Services de police et de la Sécurité publique et ministre responsable du Firearms Secretariat. Il a précédemment servi comme ministre de la Santé, ministre des Services sociaux, leader parlementaire du gouvernement et comme whip du gouvernement.

Paul et sa femme, Leane Durand, ont quatre enfants.
