Construction on a Highway 3 twinning project is underway.
Associated Engineering (AE) was commissioned by the Ministry of Highways earlier this year to complete planning and design work for the twinning project from Highway 2 to the Shell River bridge for a distance of nearly eight kilometres.
The safety improvements are in addition to new passing lanes which opened in the fall of 2021 between Shellbrook and the Shell River Bridge.
Highway 3, west of Prince Albert, is a busy commuter and transportation route and connects communities to the northwest including Shellbrook.
