Occupational Health and Safety Provision Review

The deadline to submit a written response for the review of the occupational health and safety provisions of The Saskatchewan Employment Act was October 18, 2021.

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback for your interest and participation.

The occupational health and safety provisions of The Saskatchewan Employment Act have not been amended since legislative changes in 2012. Since that time there has been changes to the nature of work and the workplace as well as technical advancements that may require additional measures. Reviewing the occupational health and safety provisions in Part III of the Act is part of our regular process to ensure the legislation is relevant, captures new and emerging workplace environments and helps improve health and safety of Saskatchewan workplaces.
