Updated Well Abandonment Directive

The Government has concluded consultations on proposed changes to Directive PNG015: Well Abandonment Requirements. The new Directive PNG015: Well Abandonment Requirements came into effect July 3, 2019. Inquiries regarding these changes can be directed to ER.servicedesk@gov.sk.ca

The proposed amended Directive is intended to replace The Oil and Gas Conservation Regulations, 2012, with respect to technical requirements for well abandonments. It also aims to create efficiencies for industry and the Ministry in the well abandonment process.
