TWO CASES BEING INVESTIGATED

The Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA) has asked the RCMP to investigate two unrelated cases of financial irregularities totalling an estimated $247,000 in SLGA liquor stores in La Loche and Biggar. The irregularities related to La Loche total $227,000 and related to Biggar total $20,000.

In relation to the irregularities, the managers of these stores have been dismissed with cause.

SLGA has asked the Provincial Auditor to review SLGA's controls and procedures and make recommendations for improvement.

SLGA will fully co-operate with the RCMP investigation.
