BUSINESS TAX REVIEW COMMITTEE BEGINS CONSULTATIONS

The Saskatchewan Business Tax Review Committee is ready to begin its public consultations. During May and June, the Committee will hold public meetings in seven cities throughout the Province.

"I am looking forward to the public consultations and hearing from stakeholder groups and individuals throughout the province," Committee Chair Jack Vicq said. "I know there are different opinions on how to make Saskatchewan competitive. The committee is anxious to hear these views and put together recommendations that reflect the best possible solution."

Meetings are scheduled for:

Yorkton - May 10th, Holiday Inn
Estevan - May 17th, Days Inn
Swift Current – May 26th, Days Inn
Prince Albert - June 9th, Travelodge
Saskatoon - June 22nd, Travelodge
North Battleford - June 23rd, Tropical Inn
Regina - June 27th, Travelodge.

An information package was recently mailed to a number of interest groups in the province with details on the Committee and its review process.
