HIGHWAY GRADING AND PAVING ANNOUNCED

Released on May 28, 1998

Highways and Transportation Minister Judy Bradley today announced

grading and paving planned for Highway No. 368 for a total distance of

14.89 km.



"Highway projects are underway across the province and we are working

to meet our commitment of spending $2.5 billion over 10 years to

improve our highways," Bradley said.



Dallas Contracting Ltd. was the lowest of nine bidders on the

$2.1 million project which began in early May and is planned for

completion on October 31, 1998. An estimated 64 jobs will be used on

the project which will see grading, paving and seal coating done on

Highway No. 368 from the junction of Highway No. 5 at Meunster to

14.89 km north of the junction of Highway No. 5 at the intersection

with Annaheim Grid No. 756.



"We appreciate your patience while we are working to improve

Saskatchewan highways," Bradley said. "I urge people to drive

carefully and follow the 60 km speed limit in Orange Zones."
