SRC - SERVING CUSTOMERS BETTER

Released on June 19, 1996

Ron Woodward, President and CEO of the Saskatchewan Research Council
(SRC), today announced SRC has undertaken a corporate restructuring to
better meet the needs of its clients.

"We are changing to become even more market relevant and customer-
focused," Woodward said. "We will be on the leading edge, positioned
appropriately as a technology company using all available tools to find
solutions for clients' problems. Technology is our business."

Under this restructuring, SRC's organization is now comprised of three
groups: Industrial Technology Transfer; Resource and Environment; and
Agricultural Biotechnology.

"While continuing to emphasize work in the resource, environment, and
manufacturing sectors, agricultural biotechnology is an important new
area of focus," Woodward said. "SRC is positioned for continued growth
and success in the years ahead as a key technology corporation in the
province. In conjunction with the restructuring, a new logo was
introduced to symbolize this change in emphasis and focus.

SRC has been providing research services to Saskatchewan and Canadian
industry since 1947. It provides contract research, technology
transfer and analytical services to companies in Saskatchewan and
around the world.
