SASKATCHEWAN PEOPLE INVITED TO SHOW SUPPORT FOR A UNITED CANADA

Premier Roy Romanow, Opposition Leader Lynda Haverstock and Tory Leader
Bill Boyd today called on all Saskatchewan people to come to the
Legislative Building Saturday, October 28 to demonstrate their desire
for Quebec to remain in a united Canada.

The three leaders issued their joint statement in support of a plan by
Saskatchewan youth to hold a Unity Rally at the provincial legislature
at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 28.

The rally will allow Saskatchewan people the opportunity to show their
support for a united Canada and offer words of encouragement to the
people of Quebec.

The Unity Rally is part of a Canada-wide flag raising event. The
Canadian and Quebec flags will be displayed at all provincial
legislatures. In Quebec, the flag raising will take place in the Old
Port, in Old Montreal.
