Early Learning and Child Care Centre Director's Basic Administration Workshop

This two-day workshop is intended to support administrative skill development in new child care centre directors.


1. Guidance

The Early Learning and Child Care Centre Director's Basic Administration workshop assists new child care centre directors in their understanding of centre administration while developing administrative skills.

Participants have the opportunity to take part in activities that highlight regulations, policies, and other tasks pertaining to the role of a child care centre director.

The two-day session covers topics such as:

  • Professionalism
  • Finances
  • Meetings
  • Child Care Employees

2. Eligibility

These workshops are geared towards child care directors with less than two years of experience in their role or for those transitioning into a supervisory role. Directors with all levels of experience are eligible to register, however priority will be given to those new in their role.

Space is limited to 35 participants per workshop.

Current workshops are taking place in the following locations:

  • Saskatoon - January 24 and 25, 2018

Once a workshop is full, your name will be put on a waiting list. If space becomes available, you will be contacted.


3. Further Information

As part of supporting centre director administrative skill, participants in the ELCC Centre Director's Basic Administrative Workshop will receive the Basic Administration Manual.

The workshop runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
