Highways and Transportation Minister Judy Bradley today announcedawarding of a paving contract on Highway 14 beginning at Perdue and
proceeding 10.2 km west of the village.
"The project is valued at more than $1.6 million and will see an
estimated 24 jobs used in its completion," Bradley said.
ASL Paving Ltd. was awarded the contract as the lowest of seven
bidders. The project is expected to start on the road in early May
1999 and is planned for completion by the end of June 1999. The
$1.6 million cost includes department materials and resources and is
part of the $44.7 million winter tender schedule announced by Minister
Bradley in November 1998.
"By tendering now, as part of the winter tender schedule, we can
ensure more projects are completed as planned," Bradley said. "We are
continuing to work hard to improve our highways right across
Saskatchewan."
