State Funeral to be Held for the Honourable Vaughn Solomon Schofield

A state funeral will commemorate the life and public service of former Saskatchewan Lieutenant Governor Honorary Colonel the Honourable Vaughn Solomon Schofield, S.O.M., C.D., S.V.M. 

Solomon Schofield was Saskatchewan's 21st Lieutenant Governor, serving from 2012 through 2018. She died in Regina on April 8, 2026, after a short illness. 

The public is invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, April 25, 2026. The service will be held at Living Hope Alliance Church at 3800 Green Falls Drive in Regina, beginning at 10 a.m. Those attending are asked to arrive early.

Books of condolence are also available in the main lobby of the Legislative Building and at Government House. Online condolences may be sent through the official website of the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan at www.ltgov.sk.ca.

Flags across the province will remain at half-mast until sunset on the day of service.
