Saskatchewan has several different types of family leave available including maternity, adoption, parental, bereavement, and crime related child death or disappearance.
Medical leave encompasses any leave relating to personal medical care and immediate family care. This includes organ donation, critically ill child care, critically ill adult leave and compassionate care.
Service leave relates to any military leave or citizenship leave. This includes reserve force, nomination/election leave, candidate/public office leave, and citizenship ceremony leave.
Interpersonal violence leave is a job-protected leave of up to 10 days for survivors of interpersonal violence or survivors of any form of sexual violence to access supports or relocate to a new home.
