The Pasture Transition Program (PTP) provides funding to eligible Canada Community Pasture Transition Program (CCPT) and Saskatchewan Pasture Program (SPP) patron groups:
- Obtain professional legal and financial services to develop legal entities and operational business plans.
- Support costs associated with meetings for the first year of transition.
- Obtain technical services to acquire skills and plans in management of environmentally sensitive land, human resources, finances and adoption of new technologies.
- Support weed control measures.
Those eligible for the Pasture Transition Programs are Canadian citizens 18 years of age or older who are CCPT or SPP patrons. Eligible patron groups may receive up to a maximum of $120,000 over a period of five years. Groups who applied under the Growing Forward 2 program may continue under the CAP program but will no longer be eligible once they have reached the five‐year period.
