Accessibility Legislation for Saskatchewan

On November 15, 2022, The Accessible Saskatchewan Act was introduced in the Legislative Assembly. If passed, the new legislation will remove and prevent accessibility barriers for persons with disabilities.

2. Past Engagement

The first phase of engagement was on the Act and is now closed. The initial engagement ran from February 4 to March 31, 2021, and provided an opportunity for Saskatchewan people to share their ideas and suggestions for accessibility legislation. Engagement activities included surveys and opportunities to ask a question or share a vision for a more accessible Saskatchewan.
