Analytics Policy

Mature approaches to measurement are a critical element in the successful operation of the Government of Saskatchewan web program. Measuring interactions that citizens have with our online service channels and performing ongoing analysis to determine ways to optimize the user experience will allow us to grow and evolve to meet citizen needs.

Google Analytics is the standard measurement platform for the GoS. All GoS web properties must have current Google Analytics code included to track usage and performance.  All content on Saskatchewan.ca within the Sitecore CMS automatically has Google Analytics installed.

All Google Analytics tracking code snippets and accounts are managed  by the Digital Standards & Operations team and access is available upon request.  It is important to set up event tracking if any type of file download is available on the web property you are creating.

Note:  If the primary purpose of your site or application is to host documents, additional tracking may be required.  Work with the Digital Strategy & Operations team to find the best solution.

Feedback within Applications and websites

All GoS web properties must include a link to a FluidSurvey to allow for feedback to be submitted regarding the users experience with the content/application they are using.  The link to the survey should appear on all pages.  For applications the standard link to the FluidSurvey should appear as shown below.
