Share Your Thoughts on the K-12 Education Governance Review

On November 15, 2016, Deputy Premier and Education Minister Don Morgan announced the appointment of Dan Perrins to lead the work on a Kindergarten to Grade 12 educational governance review.  The mandate of the review is to present governance options that will focus on student success while ensuring accountability and efficient operational structures within the education system.

Dan Perrins, a long-time public servant with nearly 40 years of experience in the health, education and social services sectors, submitted his report outlining the education governance options.  

On December 21, 2016, Minister Morgan announced the appointment of a six-person Advisory Panel to lead consultations with the education sector and the public on the presented governance options and implementation implications.

Advisory Panel Mandate

The Advisory Panel will engage with stakeholder organizations in face-to-face meetings and invite the public to participate in an online engagement process to provide findings to the Minister in relation to options presented in Perrins’ Report on K-12 educational governance review. 

Consultations

Students, parents, teachers, administrators, stakeholders and the public are also welcome to share their thoughts and comments on the report through the online submission form below or by emailing K12govconsultations@gov.sk.ca.

This submission process will be open until January 23, 2017.

All submitters are required to identify themselves and their organization or school division as each response will be posted online after the submission process closes.
