Government of Saskatchewan Senior Leadership Changes

Interim Deputy Minister to the Premier and Cabinet Secretary Kent Campbell announced changes today to the government’s senior public service leadership team.  These changes are effective immediately.

Clare Isman has been appointed as Senior Advisor to the Deputy Minister to the Premier within Executive Council.  Isman will provide advice and assistance on a variety of strategic and operational issues, will assist the Deputy Minister in supporting the transition to a new Premier, and other projects.  Isman brings more than 20 years of experience in the Government of Saskatchewan including Deputy Minister of Finance, Deputy Minister of Advanced Education, Employment and Immigration, and the Chair of the Public Service Commission.

Rupen Pandya has been appointed Deputy Minister of Finance.  Pandya most recently served as President and CEO of SaskBuilds and played a major role in the creation and development of the organization.  Pandya brings more than 20 years of progressive leadership experience in the Government of Saskatchewan including senior roles in the Ministry of The Economy and the Ministry of Advanced Education, Employment and Immigration.

“I am very pleased that Clare and Rupen have agreed to take on these new responsibilities and I appreciate Ron Dedman agreeing to take on added responsibility as acting President and CEO of SaskBuilds on a temporary basis,” Campbell said.  “These appointments will ensure there continues to be a strong senior public service leadership team that is focused on innovation and driving value for taxpayers.”
