Released on August 27, 2015
The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan (FCAA) has issued a Cease Trade Order against Zulutoys Limited, a corporation in the Marshall Islands, and RBOptions, the related trading name offering binary options. Zulutoys also has an address in Harrow, U.K.The order directs that all trading in securities by Zulutoys and RBOptions cease up to and including September 11, 2015. The order may be extended as necessary.
Zulutoys and RBOptions maintain a website at www.rboptions.com. The website offers information and facilitates trades in binary options. Zulutoys and RBOptions appear to be soliciting investors in Saskatchewan without registration, putting them in violation of provincial securities laws.
Investor alerts have recently been issued for RBOptions and other binary options companies by several provincial jurisdictions and the Canadian Securities Administrators.
“This problem is ongoing and we expect to see more complaints coming into our office,” FCAA Enforcement Branch Deputy Director Ed Rodonets said. “We are asking Saskatchewan residents to be careful when dealing with any suspicious cold calls or online opportunities regarding binary options, especially from offshore companies not registered in Saskatchewan."
RBOptions and Zulutoys have been notified of the order and have the opportunity to respond to the FCAA.
Anyone contacted by RBOptions, Zulutoys or any of its representatives should contact the FCAA Securities Division at 306-787-5936.
