Government Posts Ministers’ Travel Expenses Online

Released on October 15, 2014

Ministerial travel expenses for the first six months of the 2014-15 fiscal year, April 1 to September 30, 2014, are now available online at www.saskatchewan.ca/ministerial-travel.

This fulflils a commitment made in April by Premier Brad Wall.  Out-of-province travel reports will be posted every six months.

The reports provide information about the purpose of each trip, meetings attended, the name of the each person travelling with the minister and the expenses incurred by each person on the trip.

Wall said out-of-province travel is important to promote trade and investment and to ensure Saskatchewan’s interests are well represented in interprovincial meetings.

“At the same time, we want to increase transparency and accountability by providing the cost and purpose of each trip,” Wall said.
