Premier Extends Condolences to Families of Fallen RCMP

Released on June 5, 2014

Premier Brad Wall requested all flags be lowered to half mast starting today on all provincial government buildings to honour the memory of the three fallen Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) officers in Moncton yesterday.

“On behalf of the people of Saskatchewan, our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those officers who made the ultimate sacrifice and those injured in the line of duty,” Wall said.  “The RCMP Academy, ‘Depot’ Division in Regina has been training members of our country’s national police force since 1885.  We are proud to have them as part of our province and offer our support to all who wear the Red Serge during this very difficult time.”

Flags on provincial buildings will remain lowered until sunset of the day of the funerals or memorial services for the three fallen Mounties.

Messages of condolence can be sent to Condolences_Condolences@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
