Saskatchewan drivers should be on the lookout for more than 50 major highway construction projects as they head out on the road this Labour Day weekend.
“Whether you’re hoping to enjoy what’s left of summer warmth at the lake or heading to Regina to cheer on the Riders at the Labour Day Classic, remember to keep an eye out for work zones and always slow to 60 km/hr when you see the signs,” Highways and Infrastructure Minister Don McMorris said.
New work underway this week includes 38 km of surfacing on Highway 16 and construction of intersection treatments on Highway 11 near Saskatoon as well as maintenance projects on Highway 3 west of Tisdale and Highway 106 near Deschambault Lake.
The weekly construction update provides Saskatchewan residents with the latest details on projects underway to help to plan safe and efficient travel throughout the summer and fall.
