Saskatoon Based Construction Company Found Guilty of Labour Standards Violations

Carmen Hill, operating as Hill Framing and Renovations of Saskatoon, was found guilty in Saskatoon Provincial Court on three charges under Saskatchewan’s Labour Standards Act.

On April 9 the company was found guilty of failing to pay final wages and failing to pay annual holiday pay within 14 days of termination of employment taking effect.  The company was also found guilty of failing to send final wage payment by registered mail.  Hill Framing and Renovations was fined $200 on each count for a total of $600 in fines.

The Labour Standards Division of Labour Relations and Workplace Safety supports fair and equitable workplace practices through public awareness and enforcement of The Labour Standards Act and regulations as well as other labour legislation.  Whenever necessary, violators will be prosecuted.
