HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENTS ON HIGHWAY 2 NORTH OF WEYAKWIN

The Weekly Construction Update

Motorists travelling to northern Saskatchewan will soon notice improvements on Highway 2 north of Weyakwin. The Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure is investing $2.2 million into a repaving project scheduled for completion this fall.

"We have dozens of repaving projects actively underway across Saskatchewan including this 12 km stretch of Highway 2 in northern Saskatchewan," Highways and Infrastructure Minister Don McMorris said. "These types of projects are important in terms of safety and creating efficiency for shippers."

Several new highway construction projects are expected to get underway this week including seal coating north of St. Louis, gravel overlay with a seal coating near Milden, seal coating near Dalmeny, surfacing near Macklin, bridge replacement over the east Cypress Lake canal, seal coating of Highway 35 north of Weyburn, improvements to Highway 37 south of Cabri and new pavement for Highway 39 between Midale and Halbrite.
