THE WEEKLY PROVINCIAL HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Motorists are reminded to continue to watch for construction in various stages this fall, as a crop of new bridge, culvert and repaving work is expected to be underway and can impact travel.

"Although construction may delay your travel time, please do your part to protect those working to improve the transportation system for the benefit of all motorists," Highways and Infrastructure Minister Jim Reiter said. "Please be cautious and alert when approaching any road construction or highway activity ahead. As always, please remember to obey all flag persons and slow to 60 km/hr when passing highway workers and equipment in the Orange Zone."

New construction activity highlighted for this update period includes such planned activities as repaving on Highway 2 south of La Ronge; bridge work on Highway 9 northwest of Sturgis, Highway 14 southwest of Asquith, Highway 18 west of McCord; and a culvert replacement on Highway 962 near Uranium City. Regina area motorists are also reminded about work expected to resume again on repairs at the overpass near Highways 6 and 11 at the north end of Albert Street.
