Motorists are advised to be aware of upcoming and ongoing provincial highway construction projects while travelling throughout Saskatchewan.
"Remember, obey all flag persons and slow to 60 km/hr when passing highway workers and equipment in the Orange Zone and be cautious and alert when approaching any road construction," Highways and Infrastructure Minister Jim Reiter said. "This snapshot of construction work, along with the Highway Hotline can help motorists plan the safest and most efficient routes before travelling."
New activity expected to be underway for this update period includes paving on Highway 1 eastbound from the Caronport East Access Road to 7 km east of the Mortlach Access Road. For information about emergency road closures due to severe weather, flooding or forest fires, status of ferries and barges, along with other maintenance activities, motorists and media are encouraged to check the Highway Hotline.
