Motorists are advised to be aware of upcoming and ongoing provincial highway construction projects while travelling throughout Saskatchewan.
"Be cautious and alert when approaching any highway construction, obey all flag persons and slow to 60 km/hr when passing highways workers and equipment," Highways and Infrastructure Minister Jim Reiter said. "The Highway Hotline is also a useful tool for other important travel information to help plan the safest and most efficient route."
New activity expected to be underway for this update period includes a culvert replacement on Highway 3 northeast of Paradise Hill, a bridge replacement on Highway 4 almost 12 km north of Elrose, paving on Highway 49 east of Kelvington, seal coating on Highway 55 northwest of Shellbrook, a bridge replacement on Highway 306 almost 4 km west of Colfax, along with resumption of construction of the Highway 1 and Lewvan Drive Interchange at Regina. For more details and a list of other long-term projects in various stages of construction, please see the attached backgrounder.
