WEEKLY PROVINCIAL HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Drivers are advised to be aware of ongoing and upcoming provincial highway construction projects during their Saskatchewan travels to help plan safe and efficient routes to their destinations.

"Please be alert and be cautious when approaching highway construction," Highways and Infrastructure Minister Jim Reiter said. "Remember to obey all flag persons and slow to 60 km/hr when passing highway workers and equipment."

New activity expected to get underway for this update period includes surfacing on Highway 15 near Outlook, seal coating on sections of Highway 26 near Turtleford, microsurfacing on Highway 49 near Norquay, a culvert replacement on Highway 55 near Rapid View and one on Highway 357 about 15 km west of Togo, along with work on Highway 368 south of St. Brieux. For other important information, such as emergency road closures due to severe weather, flooding or forest fires, along with short-term maintenance activities, motorists can check the Highway Hotline.
