Motorists are advised to be aware of new and ongoing provincial highways construction work.
"As we move into fall, many road construction activities can still occur, such as grading, maintenance work and, if temperatures are warm enough, paving," Highways and Infrastructure Minister Jim Reiter said. "Crews will work as long as they can to improve the transportation system before winter takes hold."
New work that has recently started includes construction on Highway 32 between Lancer and Lemsford. More details about this work and a list of other projects are available in the attached backgrounder.
"As always, please slow to 60 km/h when passing highway workers and equipment, while remembering base fines start at $140 for speeding through an Orange Zone," Reiter said.
Construction work is subject to weather conditions and contractor progress. Motorists can get other important travel information on the Road Conditions Map section of the Highway Hotline online at www.highways.gov.sk.ca/road-conditions/.
