Motorists are advised to be aware of new and ongoing provincial highways construction work.
"There is an extensive amount of activity taking place so please plan for a safe road trip and allow for extra time through a construction zone," Highways and Infrastructure Minister Jim Reiter said. "As always, please slow to 60 km/h when passing highway workers and equipment. Remembering base fines start at $140 for speeding through an Orange Zone."
New work that has recently started includes construction on Highway 12 near Waldheim and Highway 32 near Pennant. More details about this work and a list of other ongoing projects are available in the attached backgrounder.
Construction work is subject to weather conditions and contractor progress. Motorists can get other important travel information on the Summer Road Conditions and Road Conditions Map sections of the Highway Hotline online at www.highways.gov.sk.ca/road-conditions/.
