WEEKEND HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS REMINDER

Highways and Infrastructure Minister Wayne Elhard urges motorists to drive safely this weekend and be aware of new and ongoing construction projects when travelling.

"A tremendous amount of activity is taking place this summer on our highway network," Elhard said. "Motorists should take into account conditions so they can plan the best and safest route possible. Motorists are also reminded to slow to 60 km/h when passing highway workers and equipment, use caution and be prepared to stop as directed."

  • Highway 1 - Paving is underway on the eastbound lanes from the Junction of Highway 46 at Balgonie to McLean.
  • Highway 1 - Paving is underway on the eastbound lanes from Moosomin to the Manitoba border.
  • Highway 5 - Resurfacing is underway from Kylemore to Wadena with traffic reduced at times.
  • Highway 15 - Micro-surfacing is underway from 13.8 km (kilometres) west of the Junction with Highway 9 to 22.4 km west near Melville. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the construction area.
  • Highway 16 - Micro-surfacing is underway on the westbound driving lane from 1.8 km east of the Langham access. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the construction area.
  • Highway 16 - Micro-surfacing is underway on the westbound driving lane from 2 km east of the Borden Bridge to the Borden Bridge. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the construction area.
  • Highway 16 - Micro-surfacing is underway on the eastbound driving lane from 4.25 km northwest of Highway 4 at the Battlefords to 11.7 km northwest. Traffic will be reduced to one lane through the construction area.
  • Highway 37 - Grading work is underway from Climax to 12 km north of Climax.
  • Highway 210 - Resurfacing is taking place from 1.7 km west of the Junction with Highway 35 in Fort Qu'Appelle to the Junction with Highway 56. Traffic may be reduced to one lane through the construction zone.
