2019 Guide to Crop Protection Update

By Danielle Neisz, Provincial Pesticide Investigator and Guide To Crop Protection Coordinator

Every year the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture, along with the Manitoba Department of Agriculture, publishes the Guide to Crop Protection. The Guide to Crop Protection is a tool producers use to provide valuable information on chemicals available for use on crops for the management of weeds, plant diseases and insects.  We are currently a third of the way through the production cycle and are on track to hit the distribution deadline. The Guide to Crop Protection can be picked up at most chemical retailers or at any of our Regional Offices. The deadline for chemical retailers to request copies is Jan. 9, 2019. Currently the Guide to Crop Protection is delivered in cases of 12 copies, and can be ordered by the case. If you have questions, concerns or suggestions, or would like to request a order form for the 2019 Guide to Crop Protection, contact Danielle Neisz at gcpcoordinator@gov.sk.ca.
