Exchange- November 2016

Lyle Stewart
Minister of Agriculture
It has been a challenging fall across Saskatchewan and I know our producers are doing their best to harvest all the crop they can. I encourage producers to contact their local Crop Insurance office to review their coverage and options for unharvested crops.

As the deadline approaches for the end of Growing Forward 2, we want your feedback on what should come next. We are currently conducting an online survey on the Next Policy Framework (NPF). We need your help to ensure what’s important to you and your industry is represented in the programs contained in the NPF. Please consider taking the survey yourself, as well as passing it along to others interested in providing input. This survey is specific to strategic initiatives program activities and separate consultations for Business Risk Management programs will be announced at a later date.

If you are in the Regina-area, I also hope you will take the time to attend Agribition from November 21-26. It is one of the biggest annual attractions in Saskatchewan and does a great job of showcasing what our ag industry has to offer. I know it is an event I look forward to every year.
